Equipment Energy Efficiency Improvement Project
The technological project to improve the energy efficiency of the equipment of the filtration and calcination workshop of BAZ became the fourth climatic project of RUSAL, registered in the Russian register of carbon units.
The goal of the project is the construction and commissioning of a new cyclone furnace, thanks to which it will be possible to reduce the specific consumption of fuel and energy resources and water in the production of alumina. The implementation of the project will also lead to a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions.
A positive conclusion on the compliance of the project with the criteria for classifying projects as climatic (validation conclusion) was issued by the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "UGNTU" on August 30, 2024.
